Sacred Heart School’s curriculum is aligned to the standards of the state of California and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Instruction is given in the core areas of Religion, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Language Arts (includes reading, writing, grammar, spelling and vocabulary). In order to educate the whole student, classes in Music, Physical Education, and Technology are given weekly. Art is also incorporated across the curriculum.

Title 1 services provided through LAUSD, help students in the area of reading. Students who need extra assistance attend Title 1 classes during the school day with a reading specialist in small groups or in some cases individualized attention.

Children’s Choir

Sacred Heart has a wonderful children’s choir under the direction of the 8th grade teacher Ms. Pinal. Students lend their voices to Family Mass once a month and all student Masses and special Masses during the school year.

Physical Education

Sacred Heart offers a wonderful P. E. program, “Full Focus” that helps the child learn not just cardio, but also the importance of stretching and coordination.

Sacred Heart offers computer classes for all K-8 students in the computer lab.
