Wells Fargo Managers Teach “Hands on Banking”

June 9, 2014 by Website Admin

Sacred Heart Elementary School was fortunate to be part of Wells Fargo Bank’s Hands on Banking program this year for students in 4th through 8th grades. Over the course of the year, regional bank managers visited our classrooms to trade in their desk jobs as “teacher for a day.” Through an interactive lesson plan, students had fun learning the importance of a personal spending plan, creating a family budget, and saving for the future.

Thank you, Wells Fargo, for providing our students with important life skills to carry with them for a lifetime! Community Outreach Coordinator Maria Austin, left, and Senior Vice President Jess Tirado were excited to be part of the team who visited SHES this year. “Teaching children about wealth, how money is earned, and even investing can help them handle the experiences they’ll have later in life.”
