We are so proud of Margie Romano, a member of our Development Board, who along with four other recipients was recently honored with the Cardinal’s Award on February 4, 2012, for all her years of selfless service given to so many. The award “recognizes men and women who are providing significant leadership in improving the lives of people in Southern California” (The Cardinal’s Award: Overview, Los Angeles Archdiocese website).
Margie’s good works are wide and varied, having taught religious education for many years, co-founded the ever-growing Los Angeles Catholic Prayer Breakfast, served as President of the Mother’s Guild at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, including all the wonderful work and positive difference she has effected here at Sacred Heart Elementary, among other worthy endeavors. We are so blessed to know Margie as a friend and grateful to her for her dedication to our school and its mission and for all the support that she gives to us with a joyful spirit.
